Why I Hate School but Love Education

Watched the following youtube video and thought,
wow this man is doing some thinking!
I like how he debunked the idea that
college degree = job security = pride.

In these financially unstable times, with the market flooded with college degrees, a degree does nothing but accentuates your strength, I feel.

Watching Sulibreezy's video gave me this idea:
An education doesn't promise an educated mind.

But a sharp and outstanding mind, is one that gets educated, no matter where it gets put in.In jails, in wars or terrible situations, it is the best of minds that can draw meaning from these circumstances and turn them into an experience that inspires them.

There's a chinese saying that goes 读死书, 死读书 which relates well to what Sulibreezy was talking about.

Basically it translate as "studying dead texts/knowledge and studying without actively using one's mind".

Therefore, someone who follows such a maxim can possibly graduate as a scholar but not someone who's street smart, witty or filled with common sense.

Like most people who watched this, I enjoyed the rhythmic rap manner he presents his monologue. Great job Sulibreezy!
