As inspired by Miss Green Fingers from http://msgreenfingers.blogspot.sg and Urban Gardener Mike Liberman, I have started growing some stuff despite telling myself there's not enough sun to grow anything on the corridor outside my family's apartment.
Three days ago, the roots with 1 inch stems of the supermarket-bought Corianders started growing small leaves. It took only 3 days of leaving the roots with 1 inch stems in a glass of water by the kitchen window for the new leaves to sprout.
I planted them in a pot and here there are:
New Coriander leaves! |
See those tiny specks? These young uns appeared a few days later! |
I was telling myself it doesn't hurt even if the seeds don't grow. It's worth giving them a try. But if they do grow, it'll be great! I've always dreamed of growing chillies, this specific small type that flame your lips and burn your tongue. I had a slight chilli burn while removing those seeds from the dried chilli pod. Even the dried chilli pod skin can make skin burn! See how fiery those babies are?
With the weather getting warmer, I pray it would be good weather for them.
